Pi Shawl KAL

Yesterday my friend Jackie and I went to Knitty Couture. I had been a couple of times--it was Jackie's first. While not a large shop, the owner, Thi, has stocked it with really beautiful yarns. Most everything in there is something I would like to knit with. Thi mentioned that she was starting a KAL for Elizabeth Zimmerman's Pi Shawl. What the heck--I'm gonna do it. I bought some beautiful yarn (Blue Sky Alapca's Baby Alpaca Melange in the Pomegranate colorway). The KAL starts January 10. I'm not sure I really need another project--the Cobblestone sweater is finally taking off, and I'll soon have some beautiful Fleece Artist yarn from Evelyn at The Knitty Noddy for Andrew and Angela's baby (due in May). I think it will be fun to work on a project with others. I tried to talk Jackie into doing it too, but no luck. I got in a lot of knitting today. It was gray and cold out. Sophie and Hannah napped in the bed and Dollie slept in the chair with me while I spent the afternoon knitting. It was a nice vacation day. I even read a little. I didn't do any cleaning, and don't feel the least bit guilty about it! :-)
